Art in the moment!
There's something almost magical about having a drawing flow out of an audience's imagination. When kids suggest the key ingredients, all I have to do is find the thread that ties them together.
All the drawings below were created in front of live audiences. I do a simple version in the assembly or workshop, then add the detail later. Watch my videos below to see how they take shape in the moment.

For most school audiences, I draw on a large sheet of paper.

|
But for some larger audiences, I create the drawing on my laptop and have it projected on the screen so that everyone can see it while it takes shape.

All my workshop drawings start with a doodle that kids help me turn into a character. We then brainstorm about the character before building a story.
